If you’re planning to order Nufloors flooring online,  (or any other type of flooring), you will require three essential items. Firstly, a tape measure, the second is a piece of paper to write down your measurements and finally a pen. Typically you will choose an 8-meter tape measure and if required enlist a friend to help you as this will make the job much easier and quicker, probably more accurate with the second pair of eyes.

For a square or rectangular area, the job of measuring your flooring couldn’t be more straightforward. If it’s a square or rectangle area, then measure the length and breadth (just to check) and multiply one by the other. So, if, for example, your room is 12m x 8m, you have 100m2 of the floor.

For a room shaped like this: This is where we start to measure individual rooms or areas, then add them together, this is explained below.

Room 1: 5m x 3m = 15m2, Room2 :10m x 6m = 60m, Total Area: 75m on the floor

Plus: Nufloors online calculator will calculate the waste; all flooring, A required wastage needs to be included for cutting around doors, etc. if you are in a rural area you don't want to be short, so please be accurate on the measurements before adding into the online calculator.

When measuring flooring arear's, and it’s not regular shapes, this is where things get a little more complicated. For example, if you have more than one L-shaped room's you should try to create a rough flooring plan of the floor layout. Once you’ve done that, establish places wherever you'll  be able to split the space into nice, clearly acknowledgeable squares or rectangles. To illustrate, in an L-shaped area as an example, you should be able to identify either two rectangles or perhaps a square and a rectangle, each of which you can now measure each area separately in the same way as described above. Then add the two measurements together to give you the total floor area required.

Once you have mastered the first l shape room, repeat the process and then add up all the Area's into one total, Job is done, now all you have to do is decide on which product and colour meats for designs and colour scheme and fill out the online form
